High School Programs

Aquaponics brings a new level of student and teacher engagement to your school by providing hands-on learning in STEM, sustainability, and nutrition. Our high school programs incorporate CTE courses, Occupational Course of Study courses, and many STEM courses

Students track inventory, create cropping schedules, work in teams, complete daily standard operating procedures, write invoices, and sell produce directly to restaurants. Through this experience, students develop job skills, work ethic, and communication skills.
A high school partnership with 100 Gardens includes the following services:
Development of the Aquaponics Lab
Professional development for teachers
Standard operating procedures (SOP) for the Aquaponics Lab
Curriculum
Weekly service visits and ongoing teacher mentorship
Remote aquaponics system monitoring
Regular harvesting and distribution of fresh produce and fish
Annual pre/post surveys and evaluations
Volunteer management
Aquaponics Supply Kit (live fish, fish food, seeds, test kits, etc.)
Marketing and promotions
Tickets to 100 Gardens special events
Services can also be customized if your school can handle specific items in-house. For more information on our high school programs, click the link below to download our “Getting Started with 100 Gardens - High School Partnerships” brochure.

A 100 Gardens partnership provides a one-of-a-kind, STEM-based approach to existing Entrepreneurship CTE classes and the school community. Here is how all parties benefit:

Students receive an immersive experience in entrepreneurship and develop both STEM and career skills.
The school is supported by additional educational and technical support staff from 100 Gardens.
The school, students, and 100 Gardens receive promotion and awareness from the partner restaurants, who place a narrative on their menu describing the program.
Students develop relationships with potential employers via produce sales and other events.
100 Gardens ensures that the Aquaponics Lab is operational during the summer and holiday breaks, ensuring smooth system operation and allowing for potential internships for students.
